My name is Taylor Puzzio, I’m from Connecticut and will be a super-senior at Monmouth University in the fall. I started college when I was only 17 years old and was unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. As a result, I played around with my majors/minors quite a lot over the course of my first three years, causing me to have to do an extra semester to finish my degree. I am currently a music industry major with minors in both mathematics and psychology. In the future, I am thinking about going to get my masters in clinical mental health counseling so that I can become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Just this past semester, I was inducted into the Psi Chi International Honors Society in Psychology and couldn’t be more proud of myself for such an achievement.
At the start of my junior year, I took my first psychology course and that was when I realized it was something I was very passionate about. The complexities of the human mind greatly fascinate me and I have always been one to enjoy helping others in any way that I can. I myself struggle with mental health issues but have come to learn that all the power needed for change lies within me. That being said, I am determined to become the best version of myself that I can possibly be and am compelled to help others reach their optimal potential as well.
Aside from psychology, there are many other things that I enjoy. Some of my hobbies include playing guitar, singing, drawing, traveling, photography, and taking walks on the beach/collecting shells. I also am a songwriter and have been writing music since I was 13 years old!
In this blog, I will share some tips on how to stay positive and build yourself up to be a strong individual. Part of this is keep up with a healthy lifestyle and doing things that you love. I hope that my posts can help you to make progress towards your dreams.
Never forget to live life to the fullest!
